TEST KEEPSTAR REINFORCED, FINAL TIMER SATURDAY 14TH
In a sharp action on 10th of July, the Eastern Allies reinforced the armour timer of a TEST Keepstar in 4-GB14, Immensea. The EA attack was lead by a combined NCdot/PL subcapital force, with supercapital support from TRUMPY and the Holy League.
The battle began around 2056 EVE with the PL Machariel fleet sustaining heavy losses to Legacy subcaps. However, TRUMP and the Holy League dropped titans to reinforce the beleagued Machariels. Legacy declined to deploy their own supercapital force in retaliation. This may have been a wise move, as the EA had a substantial reserve force of supercapitals ready to jump to 4-GB.
The Keepstar’s armour was ultimately reinforced at 2147 EVE. The final timer for the Keepstar is tomorrow at 2146 EVE. ProGodLegend, one of Legacy’s military leads, has declared in an alliance update that Legacy will attempt to defend it. They have also recently set the Imperium blue, which may give access to additional reinforcements.
It is generally believed that Legacy will lose the Keepstar. However, NER cannot comment definitively on the fate of the structure at this time.
IMPERIUM ONLINE A KEEPSTAR IN CLOUD RING
On the 11th of July, the Imperium anchored a Keepstar in the system of 6RCQ-V, Cloud Ring. This would give the Imperium a forward operating base one gate jump from Fade, radically expanding their reach.
At 0330 EVE on the 12th, it became vulnerable during the onlining process. As it was onlining, there would be no reinforcement timers if assaulted – only a single pool of HP, similar to the final timer of a structure. The associated northern coalitions knew that the 12th was their best chance to remove the Imperium structure.
Therefore, they mustered a number of fleets and attacked. The Imperium met them with a large supercapital response, with Legacy support. Northern fleets – most notably Pandemic Horde‘s Gila fleet – made efforts against the Keepstar.
They paused the online timer from 0343 through to 0452. However, in the end, they could not contend with the Imperium’s firepower. The associated northern coalitions, specifically GOTG and NCdot, declined to deploy their own supercapitals to even out the balance of power.
At 0502 EVE, the Keepstar came online – granting the Imperium a strategic foothold in the north.
CIRCLE OF TWO KEEPSTAR REINFORCED, ARMOR TIMER SATURDAY 14TH
In the early hours of the 13th of July, around 0400 EVE, the Imperium struck at the CO2 capital system DW-T2I, Fade. They dispatched two fleets, one to attack CO2’s staging Keepstar and another to hit the ‘Draccous’ faction fortizar.
Both structures were reinforced without significant incident, as no defence fleet was formed. There was a gunner at the Keepstar, and though said gunnery did kill some battleships, it did not stop the Imperium supercapitals. The Draccous was entirely unmanned and reinforced easily.
The Keepstar’s armour reinforcement timer is slated to begin at 1900 EVE on Saturday 14th. This is close to the TEST’s 4-GB Keepstar final timer. It is suspected that some northern forces will go south to attack it rather than defend the CO2 structure. We will keep you updated.
AND NOW FOR THE NEWS WHERE YOU ARE
CIRLCE-OF-TWO HOLD SOTA
Circle-of-Two recently held a State of the Alliance address, reported on r/eve. It is understood that in the address, Gigx, the banned alliance lead, called for a reduction in mining. CO2 rents out moons to alliance members, and therefore members are allowed to mine from those. In other circumstances, however, it is understood that mining is discouraged in order to avoid giving content to Imperium hunters during the war.
A TEST Alliance Hel supercarrier was destroyed by Eastern Allies in BY-MSY Esoteria on Friday 13th. The fit and location indicates this was a ratting super not based with the main TEST fleet, and early comments indicate that the unlucky pilot may not recieve a great deal of sympathy from allies.
As reported in our previous update, entosis attacks on multiple eastern regions continue from various parties, with 91 total upcoming timers at the point of writing. 20 of these timers are in Perrigen Falls for skill urself.
SUPERS CAUGHT IN DELVE
Four Goonswarm supercarriers were killed in Delve by Northern Coalition & allies dreadbombs on Friday 13th. The fits indicate these were ratting supers rather than en route to the Northern deployment. As with the TEST super losses in a similar situation, associated comments from Imperium members were less than sympathetic.
VENDETTA KILLED IN KOR-AZOR
For now, that’s how it is in New Eden. Good night.
The article originally stated that two supercarriers had been killed in Delve today. The correct number was four, with an additional super caught in Querious. Thanks to ratt mann for the clarification.
