DARK. KEEPSTAR IN 7X- VULNERABLE FOLLOWING IMPERIUM IHUB VICTORY

Early this afternoon, the Imperium forces succeeded in destroying the iHub in the system of 7X-VKB, in Pure Blind, and replaced it with their own. 7X- plays host to a DARKNESS Keepstar (previously NCdot, sold to DARK in recompense for NCdot’s possession of DC’s DO6H-Q Keepstar).

This Imperium offensive did not go uncontested. 112 Northern Bloc pilots, according to this BR, rallied to the defence in destroyers, bombers and interceptors. They went up against 430 Imperium pilots in battleships, with dreadnought support. The North failed to defend the objective but exacted 2.04bn ISK in losses from the Imperium. In the process, they lost 4.8bn ISK.

The Imperium victory in replacing the iHub has made it impossible for the Northern Bloc to place a cynojammer in the system. Without a cynojammer, the Imperium will be able to attack the Keepstar with their supercapital fleet, jumping ships past defended gates. This same feat happened in X47, which led to a direct clash between the Northern Bloc and Imperium supercapitals. It is likely that, in due time, the Imperium will turn their full attention to 7X-. It is plausible that this will lead to another substantial supercapital battle.

NORTHERN & IMPERIUM DREADNOUGHTS FIGHT IN 1-SMEB

Between approximately 0100 and 0300 EVE this morning, Northern Bloc dreadnoughts battled with Imperium capitals in 1-SMEB, Delve. It appears from this BR that NB attempted to dreadbomb an Imperium Ragnarok titan piloted by Chuch Mangione. This was greeted with a swift capital response from the Imperium.

It appears that a number of Imperium Minokawa FAXes were jumped in first to stabilise the target in the face of withering firepower. While the Imperium suffered heavy losses, they held the line long enough for a mixed dreadnought/carrier force to arrive and attack the northerners.

When the smoke cleared, the Imperium had lost 43.49bn ISK to the Northern Bloc’s 39.45bn. While this was an ISK victory for the north, the targeted titan managed to escape. It does reflect that Delve, with the Imperium supercapitals deployed elsewhere, is a more vulnerable target. Whether northern efforts to exploit this further as the war progresses will succeed remains to be the seen.

SNUFF/BL WIN SHARP ACTION AGAINST SIEGE GREEN/SC IN SISEIDE

A combined Black Legion/Snuffed Out fleet defeated a Siege Green/Shadow Cartel fleet in Siseide between roughly 1400 and 1600 EVE today. The fighting began after Black Legion reinforced three Siege Green Customs Offices. BL then received information that Siege Green were going to repair these structures. They mustered a fleet and called upon Snuffed Out for support.

In a stroke of luck, Snuffed Out had a connection via an extra-large wormhole from their staging to BL staging. This made moving onto the target relatively easy.

Snuffed Out/BL brought Legions and Bhaalgorns to fight Siege Green/Shadow Cartel’s Machariels and Apocalypses. With this superior fleet comp, they were able to inflict substantial casualties on SG/SC. The action ended with the defenders extracting and the POCO’s abandoned. The toll stands at 4.66bn lost by SNUFF/BL vs 14.27bn lost by SG/SC.

For now, that’s how it is in New Eden. Goodnight.
