THE HEADLINES AT 1900 ON SUNDAY THE 12th OF AUGUST
NER News at 7 o’clock. This is Hugh Caswakk. Good evening.
- The Imperium has absconded with a French ConneXion Fortizar and Azbel in the region of Pure Blind.
- Imperium/FEDUP forces engaged the Northern Bloc over multiple TCU and iHub timers in the 7X-X17 constellation yesterday evening, winning most of them.
- Brothers of Tangra were decisively defeated by a joint Centipede Caliphate/Red Alliance force in 4-QDIX, Etherium Reach.
- Legacy re-opens second front in Tenerifis.
IMPERIUM STEAL FORTIZAR, AZBEL, FROM FRENCH CONNEXION
The Imperium has taken action to steal French ConneXion structures. ConneXion, a tributary of Dead Coalition and therefore member of the Northern Bloc, has come under increasing pressure from the Imperium in their northern campaign. This culminated in destroying their staging fortizar some days ago.
Therefore, they decided to evacuate their assets – in order to fight another day. They unanchored their structures and prepared to move. However, an Imperium force discovered a Fortizar and Azbel unanchored and awaiting pick up in GA-P6C, Pure Blind. French ConneXion tried to bring a jump freighter to transport the assets, but its in-cyno was driven off.
The Imperium brought in a pair of Rorquals and then exited the field with their loot. While this is a relatively small action within the broader war, it does show that the Imperium offensive has not slowed.
IMPERIUM CONTEST SOVEREIGNTY IN 7X-X1
In a long running action, the Imperium – assisted by Federation Uprising – destroyed Northern sovereignty structures in the 7X-X17 constellation, Fade, yesterday. An NER staffer reported from the scene:
Between the hours of 1500 and 2300, in the 7X-1XY constellation in the Fade region saw many skirmishes over Infrastructure Hub and Territorial Claim Unit timers belonging to Circle-Of-Two. The Initiative and Federation Uprising were the main forces on the side of Imperial Legacy while C02 were backed up by Pandemic Horde and Northern Coalition.
Of five timers, the South won four of them, the E9KD-N TCU, the C-OK0R IHub, the 8W-OSE TCU, and the WQY-IQ TCU. C02 and allies were able to successfully defend the FIO1-8 TCU.
In this effort, Imperium/FEDUP lost 3.99bn ISK vs the Northern Bloc’s 5.42bn ISK.
This is a substantial victory which firmly establishes the Imperium’s foothold in the region. Already, more timers have been generated deeper into CO2 space. Nevertheless, the battle for Fade is far from over. Only time will tell as to its ultimate result.
BROTHERS OF TANGRA ON BACKFOOT AFTER DEFEAT
Between 1930 and 2021 EVE in 4-QDIX, Brothers of Tangra (BOT) were pushed back by Centipede Caliphate and Red Alliance. An AAR from the CENTI perspective, written by /u/NinjaWarriorFMIA on reddit, said:
The toll stands at 2.88bn ISK lost by CENTI/RA, vs 48.95bn lost by Brothers of Tangra. While the Astrahus was reinforced, the cost was exceptionally high compared to the value of the structure. This reverse caps off a disappointing few days for BOT – with a fortizar down in Cache and previous efforts in Etherium Reach dashed.
LEGACY OPENS SECOND FRONT IN TENERIFIS
The southern front has continued to rumble along, with fierce and internecine entosis warfare adding to the wreck-spattered grids of Tenerifis. Legacy is continuing its grinding offensive against formerly CENTI held space – and, it appears, extending efforts towards Blades of Grass territory as well.
However, a second front of this war has sprung back into being. In particular, the TEST corporation Star Frontiers has carried out a wave of entosis attacks against Serenity Initiative in the EIX-HK constellation. This is likely to distract the broader Tenerifis Coalition and weaken the perimeter currently held in Blades of Grass space.
This threat is, not, however, being taken lightly. Robust action by TeneCo ensured the safety of the 16AM-3 iHub, which had previously been reinforced by Legacy. In the process, a TeneCo fleet was destroyed by TEST, to the tune of 2.88bn ISK. TEST suffered no losses in this action.
NOW, FROM OUR CORRESPONDENTS
Hard fighting has continued in Etherium Reach today as Etherium Breach coalition pushes up the N-APJ8 pipe. Prothean Alliance iHubs in Z-F, 4L6 and L-Z were all destroyed. Combat logisticians belonging to Just A Game, a constituent of Etherium Breach, have placed their own iHub in 4L6.
Etherium Breach has continued to entosis structures down the length of the N-AP pipe, signifying ongoing offensive action. Moreover, action is expected against the Prothean fortizar in L-Z, which they use a forward operating position for action in the southern Reach.
Prothean Alliance did save the Territory Control Unit in C-V6DQ, and made the system their capital – which will impede offensive entosis efforts. However, the system iHub belongs to Etherium Breach.
For now, that’s how it is in New Eden. Goodnight.
