CCP is releasing several new ship redesigns on August 21st and September 11th as part of their initiative to overhaul all old ship models, mainly focusing on the Caldari lineup, though Gallente pilots also have a surprise in store for them. These visual makeovers include making models more symmetrical, which are easier to design as well and make SKINs for, and new animations.
The Gallente Tech I Logistics Frigate, the Navitas, along with its Tech II partner in crime, the Thalia, are both receiving redesigns and visual makeovers, looking more sleek and symmetrical, as well as having all new warp animations.
Caldari industrialists will be happy to learn that the drab and dull designs of the Tayra and its Tech II counterpart, the Crane, as well as the Badger and its Tech II, mimic, the Bustard, are all being redesigned in a continuing project to overhaul the Caldari hulls. Much like the Navitas and Thalia, these hulls receive a complete makeover, with a style that is uniquely Caldari and more warp animations for pilots to enjoy.
In September, Logistics pilots are getting some love with all new redesigns for the Osprey and its Navy Issue variant, as well as the Basilisk and the coveted Etana alliance tournament ship. All of these will receive a complete visual overhaul, with more symmetry and all new animations.
CCP announced that Super Kerr-Induced Nanocoatings (SKINs) will now be expanded to Upwell structures for Capsuleers to decorate in the Winter expansion. More details are expected to be announced in the future.
