NCDOT KEEPSTAR & SUPERS DESTROYED VALE
NCdot anchored a Keepstar in H-5GUI, in the Vale of the Silent region, on Sunday 18th. On Monday 19th, the Keepstar exited its anchoring timer in prime EUTZ and was the site of a major battle. The Keepstar was destroyed, along with three NCdot titans, three supercarriers, and a large number of FAXes. Imperial Legacy forces sustained far fewer losses, mainly due to smartbombing battleships and a moderate amount of dreadnought losses.
During the battle, the defenders made a bold attempt to clear off enemy DPS from the Keepstar by warping a portion of their supercapital fleet directly into the INIT. Raven fleet and activating their boson modules. While they did manage to kill part of the Raven fleet, this was not enough, and Imperial Legacy sustained enough DPS on the Keepstar to continue grinding it down.
From among this supercapital squad, three titans and three supers got caught in bubbles and were unable to warp back to the Keepstar or otherwise extract – the majority due to disconnects or client freezes. While friendly FAXes attempted a rescue, numerous Imperial Legacy interdictors rushed to the scene and kept the heavy assets bubbled. Meanwhile, INIT. and others gated dreads from MR4 to come in and finish them off, enabling subcaps to keep DPS on the Keepstar. The total isk lost in the battle stands at nearly 750b ISK, with close to 600b lost by the defending forces, mainly NCdot.
Northern Coalition FC Nituspar commented that “we hadn’t expected such a massive formup against the Keepstar to be able to be drummed up within a day, and would’ve played it differently strategically if we did.” In NER’s own estimate, other primary factors for the unsuccessful Keepstar anchoring seem to have been the defenders’ choice of late European and early American timezone, a system choice with a large number of adjacent systems, as well as a failure to anticipate the difficulty of countering the boosh-raven doctrine in TiDi due to poor combat probe cycling.

BRAWL IN GEMINATE
On the 20th of November around 21:00 EVE time, a massive brawl broke out in the system of BWF-ZZ in Geminate. The fight broke out over an anchoring Fortizar on the Oijanen gate in the system. Pandemic Horde formed a Tempest fleet, with TEST forming a Megathron/Bhaalgorn and bomber fleets with carrier support. Goons and Initiative formed Ishtars and a stuka bomber fleet. NCDot formed Ishtars to work with Pandemic Horde, while Pandemic Legion brought a bomber fleet with some command destroyers for booshing support.
Shortly after landing on grid and pausing the timer for the anchoring Fortizar, the defenders came to the field and started engaging the Pandemic Horde fleet, breaking out into a fully fledged brawl for 40 minutes. Pandemic Horde brought in some Apostles to assist their battleship fleet mitigate some of the damage on the field being pushed out by the carriers. Ultimately, the Fortizar was successfully able to anchor, and Pandemic Horde pulled out their fleet. The damage inflicted stands at just over 70b ISK.
FREE RANGE TITAN & SUPER DESTROYED IN PURE BLIND
On November 20th, around 20:00 eve time, a capsuleer was switching corps so that he could be with his friends in Fweddit/Free Range Chikuns [ORGNC]. After swapping corps he was arranging for a cyno to be lit on a friendly Fortizar in the system of D2-HOS. The person responsible for lighting the cyno did not take proper precautions, particularly in failing to realize the neutral character in local with him was associated with Snuffed Out.
Seconds after the cyno was lit and the capitals were jumped into system, exposed and untethered, the capitals were tackled, and Snuffed brought in their supercapitals, capitalizing on the error. Due to the insurmountable force that was on grid already, a rescue was unable to take place and the Titan and super pilot died in a total loss of over 100b ISK. Unfortunately, this move op had not been coordinated with [ORGNC] Leadership, who may have been able to assist the pilot on his move op better.
Special thanks to /u/Exonfang for providing some backstory behind the lossmails.
ELITIST OPS JOINS SNUFFED OUT
On the 18th of November, ElitistOps, joined Snuffed Out Alliance. This is a huge gain for the alliance, gives them additional high-SP characters who also have capital and supercapital capability along with competent FCs.
LOCAL CHAT STILL BROKEN
Continued reports of broken local – especially Jita but other areas causing concern and no statement from CCP. NER will keep you updated as the situation develops.
HORDE STARTS MOVING HEAVY ASSETS OUT OF MA-
On November 20th, a small group of Pandemic Horde titans and supercarriers were spotted moving out of the Horde staging system of MA-VDX in Branch back toward Venal. This was shortly followed up with a ping from Gobbins recalling all capitals to Geminate. The region is experiencing more tension with the different groups from the imperium or legacy placing pressure on Pandemic Horde. NER will keep you updated with events as they unfold in the region.
UPCOMING PLAYER MEETS
The next player meet is in Houston, Texas at 20.00 local time. The meet will be at The Kings Head Pub, 1809 Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077, USA.
