The battle was instigated by NullSechnaya Sholupen. The alliance had scouts in the system which had spotted an Azbel belonging to Yondu Confederation [YONDU] which was supposed to exit its reinforcement stage that night. Knowing that in the past the engineering complex led to a major conflagration in the system, NullSechnaya Sholupen decided to form for the timer. The alliance assembled a 35 pilot Leshak battleship fleet which included a dreadnought squadron as well as two force auxiliaries. The force waited in range of the system for combatants to appear.
Did he say Jump formed a 33 pilot Bhaalgorn battleship fleet. The force had been behind the Azbel’s reinforcement timer and came to either push it to its final phase or, hopefully, confront its owners. However upon arriving, its fleet found the structure undefended. Regardless, spying NullSechnaya Sholupen scouts in the system, the fleet remained on the afflicted Azbel, preparing for a fight.
It didn’t take long before a cynosural beacon lit up near the Bhaalgorn fleet, through which materialized two NullSechnaya Sholupen dreadnoughts. The ships, equipped with high angle weapons to combat sub capital ships, entered their siege cycles and targeted the battleships. One of the ships immediately lit a secondary cynosural beacon, allowing the Leshak fleet with its two force auxiliaries to jump jump through.
Did he say Jump immediately countered with its own cynosural beacon, bringing in two dreadnoughts of its own fit to combat other capital ships, and a lone Apostle force auxiliary. The two sides squared up and started exchanging fire at close range. A Did he say Jump Bhaalgorn was the first casualty of the fight, overwhelmed by the combined Leshak and dreadnought firepower. Did he say Jump retaliated, bringing down one of the high angle dreadnoughts as the two sides started concentrating on each other’s capital ships.
More reinforcements entered the field, NullSechnaya Sholupen bringing in the remainder of its dreadnought force while Did he say Jump had dreadnoughts pilots log in, join fleet and jump into the system as the battle was fought in direct range of its staging. A brutal back and forth developed as the two sides traded dreadnoughts evenly.
Did he say Jump though had the upper hand as it was able to replace losses constantly, not to mention the fact all of its dreadnoughts were fit for capital warfare, unlike part of the NullSechnaya Sholupen force. As the battle raged on the majority of the NullSechnaya Sholupen dreadnought force was destroyed, freeing Did he say Jump to concentrate on its sub capital fleet. It destroyed a Leshak and a support Vindicator battleship before dispatching one of the two NullSechnaya Sholupen force auxiliaries. NullSechnaya Sholupen for its part, kept its attention on the Did he say Jump dreadnoughts, bringing a couple more down as it started to lose more and more mainline ships.
The fleet continued to hemorrhage mainline ships, causing NullSechnaya Sholupen fleet commanders to realize a complete collapse was imminent at that rate. Thus the decision was made to disengage, the surviving battleships warping off, the remaining force auxiliary in tow. Did he say Jump attempted to snag as many ships as possible, dispatching stragglers and tackled ships, including a lone dreadnought which had bumped away from the main fight.
With the grid under its control, the fleet looted what it could before extracting its remaining capital ships. Once the capitals were safely docked in its staging system, the fleet followed suit, having achieved its goal of picking a fight. Thus the battle of Halmah came to an end.
Battle report for the Halmah system can be found here.
All told the battle lasted 30 minutes with Time Dilation not reported and the system hosting an estimated 100 pilots at the peak of the fighting.
NullSechnaya Sholupen lost 24 ships in the battle including 9 dreadnoughts, 1 force auxiliary and 11 battleships for a total of 34.74 billion ISK damage.
Did he say Jump lost 12 ships in the battle including 8 dreadnoughts and 1 battleship for a total of 21.06 billion ISK damage.
